Self-Directed Online Therapeutic Skills for Health Psychologists


This online training course is an introduction to practitioner health psychology therapeutic skills. Focusing on understanding the role of the health psychologist-personal schemas in practice and developing a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. Key technical communication skills are also focused on such as socratic questioning and guided discovery, collaboration & negotiation with health psychology clients in session. Online Training Materials include: Slides, tasks, exercise to work through the training course, case study and presentation materials which maximise your CPD learning at home. There are tasks that also involve role playing scenarios and case studies and will require you to find a role play 'buddy' to work on some of the tasks with. 


Inlcuded in this training package is 1 hour of additional personal coaching from a SCPS Consultant Health Psychologist which maximises your ability to enhance your clinical skills through practicing role plays, having focused discussion about the materials and their application to the clients you work with or plan on developing skills to work with. It can be booked at a time to suit you after you have completed the onlline training.
