Our SCPS Services

Applying Health Psychology expertise to organisations, services and professionals.

SCPS Consulting provides Health Psychology expertise to both organisations and Health Psychologists, supporting the application of behavioural science in real-world contexts.

We work with public sector organisations, healthcare services and third-sector partners to design, implement and evaluate behaviour change interventions. We also support Health Psychologists through supervision and training to develop applied judgement, reflective practice and sustainable careers.

Across all our work, our focus is on translating evidence into practice in ways that are ethical, practical and context-sensitive.

Professional Supervision for Health Psychologists (Trainee to Consultant Level)

Supervision Services: Alongside organisational work, we support Health Psychologists across career stages, from training through to senior and consultant roles.

Supervision provides a reflective space to develop applied judgement, manage complexity and sustain ethical, effective practice over time.

Meta Supervision for Consultant and senior Health Psychologists who work at the interface of clinical practice, service development, leadership and organisational systems, supervision frequently extends beyond individual casework to include questions of professional judgement, service design, governance, and sustainability.

We provide meta-supervision , offering a reflective space to think about:

  • managing and leading services

  • supervising and supporting other practitioners

  • ethical and governance responsibilities

  • decision-making within complex organisational contexts

  • maintaining professional identity and wellbeing in senior roles

Meta-supervision supports reflective leadership, helps prevent drift in standards, and provides a confidential space to think critically about influence, responsibility and long-term career sustainability including transition to retirement.

Our approach draws on extensive experience of applied Health Psychology practice, service-level work and professional supervision across settings and specialisms.

For early career Health Psychologists: supervision often focuses on complexity — ethical decision-making, service pressures, leadership roles, independent practice and sustainability. We offer supervision to practitioners working across public health, healthcare, consultancy and independent practice settings.

For Trainee Health Psychologists: we provide supervision for DPsych & Independent Route trainees across competencies including course assessment & reporting requirements. Our approach supports trainees to integrate theory into practice, build confidence & develop professional judgement as they move towards independent work.

Training & Professional Development for Health Psychologists

We offer a range of training programmes for Health Psychologists at different stages of their careers.

Training focuses on developing applied therapeutic and behaviour change skills, and is often used alongside supervision to support reflective learning and integration into practice.

Full details of our training programmes are available on the Our Training page.
