Health Psychology Services

Applying Health Psychology expertise to organisations and professionals
SCPS Consulting specialises in training to support applied Health Psychology practice across career stages.
Developing effective Health Psychology practice involves more than learning techniques. It requires understanding when, how and why to apply theory, evidence and therapeutic approaches within complex real-world contexts.
Our training programmes are designed to support Health Psychologists, at all stages of their careers, to develop applied skills, reflective thinking and professional confidence. Training is grounded in Health Psychology theory and informed by our extensive experience of applied practice, supervision and consultancy. Our training and supervision services work in conjunction to cover your training and CPD needs.
HOW OUR TRAINING IS TYPICALLY USED
Health Psychologists engage with training in different ways at different points in their careers.
Some use training to build foundational applied skills during training or early career stages. Others use training to extend therapeutic approaches, refresh existing knowledge, or support work in new or more complex contexts.
Many practitioners choose to combine training with professional supervision to support the integration of learning into practice, particularly when working with complexity, leadership responsibilities or service-level work. Training supports skill development; supervision supports integration and judgement. This also gives them access to the SCPS Supervisee's private webpages, full of extra support from Sasha.
